Villanueva Showing Film Awards is an International Contest of Short Films for University Students aged 17 to 25, organized by Showing Foundation next to the Centro Universitario Villanueva. This initiative aims to encourage young people to reflect on universal human values through audiovisual language. For this reason, each edition challenges the young filmmakers to create their own piece on a specific theme based on a universal value such as silence, forgiveness, peace or loyalty.

Throughout these editions, young people from more than 25 countries and 60 universities of the world have participated. Each year more than 6,000 dollars are distributed in prizes that are given in a gala, held in a cultural enclave of Madrid, attended by more than 900 people every year; in which are celebrated figures of the cinematographic world. There are already many entities and institutions that believe in this project expressing their support and collaboration.

Showing Foundation was born in 2012 in order to promote universal values among youth that contribute to enrich the person and humanize society.
